New media--such as social media, web and mobile technologies--are rapidly increasing usage in many modern industries. All type of media is designed by humans, so there is no way you can expect social media to keep all your information safe and confidential. Most of us will never bother to read fine texts or terms and conditions but rush to sign up for any type of social media. Let's take Facebook, for example; if you create an account on Facebook, and you are the only one person who will have access to it because you created it and that is your account. But Facebook was created by Mark Zuckerberg, who will have full access to all the Facebook user information because he is a founder of the software. He can track anyone he likes because the user “agreed to the terms and policy” of Facebook. Users give permission to Facebook without realizing it.
Hi Aye!
ReplyDeleteI think that this is an amazing idea! On Facebook, I always see that people shared posts about missing people and who to contact for more information. Having a new media like this would combine so many databases and resources into one so it is easier to find whoever is missing. This system also seems like it will be more efficient. I also do agree with you that this will be very helpful to everyone. Great idea!
This idea is fantastic. The methods used today to inform people of missing individuals are outdated. Because many people have smartphones capable of uploading and sending pictures, making an app for "missing people" is not only possible but very practical. Hopefully something like this is created in the near future because I'm certain that it would greatly help our society.
