Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and SnapChat

Facebook is dedicated mainly to stories, games, page promotions and pictures. You can share pictures and stories about your day, news or other posts. You can chat and use Facebook’s video call worldwide. Facebook doesn’t have a time limit for either pictures or videos.

Twitter is mainly to share serious elements such as news. Twitter also has games, built-in analytics and page promotion. Twitter is very detailed, it has a smaller character limit, up to only 280 characters.

Instagram is mainly dedicated to pictures, stories, game and webpage promotion. Instagram has a time limit on videos (you can only upload up to 60 seconds) and pictures (you can upload 10 pictures per post).

SnapChat is mainly dedicated to pictures, viewers, and screenshot notifications. SnapChat is mostly used for per-day activities. For example, you can post pictures and videos but your followers are able to view only within 24hrs of your upload, because it will automatically archive it after a day.

Form my point of view, Facebook is best for chatting and video calls. Twitter is the best for sharing news. Instagram is best for sharing pictures, and SnapChat is best for sharing in-the-moment pictures.

When it come to new type of new “new media,” we already have some many types of new media. However, I think we need the new media to help find missing people. For example, people can upload the mission person pic on that app and the public whoever using the app will get information in a sec and can help find the missing person. I think this is very important, because many of us don't know the missing person news until we see the news or read newspaper or read the advertisement.  If new media have a app for those “missing people,” I think that will be very helpful to everyone.

New media--such as social media, web and mobile technologies--are rapidly increasing usage in many modern industries.   All type of media is designed by humans, so there is no way you can expect social media to keep all your information safe and confidential. Most of us will never bother to read fine texts or terms and conditions but rush to sign up for any type of social media.   Let's take Facebook, for example; if you create an account on Facebook, and you are the only one person who will have access to it because you created it and that is your account. But Facebook was created by Mark Zuckerberg, who will have full access to all the Facebook user information because he is a founder of the software.   He can track anyone he likes because the user “agreed to the terms and policy” of Facebook. Users give permission to Facebook without realizing it.

Term paper topic: New media and healthcare industry

My research topic for this course is the role of new media in the healthcare industry. I am interested in a career in the healthcare sector and hope to learn more about new practices in the industry involving new media. New media is changing every industry but the way it is affecting the healthcare industry is both good and bad. I will therefore be using the “Analysis” approach for my research paper, which compares positive and negative aspects of a topic.  New media can be good for the industry in many ways. For example, the doctor-patient relationship can be helped by video-calling or live-chats. Also, patients can find doctors and learn about them through social networks or sites for the healthcare community. Doctors can also connect with other doctors and collaborate on research through blogs, crowdsourcing sites and professional networks. Apps that are provided by new media are really helpful to the healthcare industry because they help store and share patient informa...
